The scheme is one of the most demanding run by the Law Society and as a result there are only just over 300 solicitors specializing in medical negligence in England and Wales (out of over 100,000 registered solicitors), who are panel members. According to the Law Society itself, this particular scheme is set shows that any member of the Clinical Negligence [an alternative term for medical negligence] panel is equipped with a high level of knowledge and experience in medical negligence claims. Denise, for example, is one of just five specialist solicitors in Wiltshire with panel membership.
In addition of course, Denise is already a member of the equally specialist AvMA solicitors panel run by Action Against Medical Accidents – the nationwide charity set up to campaign for “patient safety and justice”.
